This was a truly enjoyable experience with Vicky. I liked both the one-to-one yoga exercise and particularly loved the facial-shoulders-head massage which helped me feel extremely well. I highly recommend it.
Nice place! I like the size of the class in particular...The tutor was quite professional...Would be excellent if the service desk could be more welcoming!
Brilliant, Warm and friendly service. I am a regular now at Yoga and thoroughly enjoyed the treatments i have had here especially the stone massage therapy extremely relaxing. The reflexology has been very beneficial to my physical and mental state aswell. Thankyou
This centre prides itself on providing a calm, exclusive atmosphere. It is in a lovely building in a quiet mews in South Kensington. It aims to make people feel at home, with tea, water, things like that around the place. It almost feels like a private studio. These are the positive things I have to say about evolve.
Unfortunately, there are negatives. It is expensive. The classes (I've tried quite a few) are nearly all impossibly hard. Unless you practise yoga every day (and of course there are many who do), and/or you go to the same class for weeks and weeks, you will struggle to keep up. I had to leave one class, and I've practised yoga for years, to ask the woman at reception if there was an easier one.
I did find one class and teacher who were great. (By the way, there are no clocks in the studios. I always find them helpful to see how the class is going).
Receptionists. My next point. Really quite rude and patronising. On several occasions. I once came in on a Saturday morning and stood waiting at the reception desk for 25 minutes. The phone didn't stop ringing - no answer machine. Eventually the receptionist returned, munching her breakfast. While standing there, I spotted someone's bank card had just been casually left lying about on the desk for anyone to pick up. I pointed this out to the receptionist, who simply shot me a wintry smile and said "what is it you need?"
In my opinion this place is overpriced and, forgive the phrase, up itself. Despite the good class, I won't be going back.
The Evolve wellness centre is top of the class. The staff were very efficient and helpful and yoga instructors for both classes were amazing and despite being a beginner I was made to feel welcome and received help when needed. I highly recommend it and plan to return for more classes.
I really enjoyed my visits to Evolve, particularly Tues night Hatha. I found the teachers to be experienced, creative and welcoming. The rooms are lovely, there are lockers in the changeroom and a bike rack out the front which all combine to make attending classes a breeze.
It's a perfect santuary hidden in a quiet neighbourhood. Atmosphere is calm
and relaxing. Instructors are professional and experienced. Size of the studio is good enough to accommodate at least 10 people. Like the water with cucumber as it is very refreshing after yoga session. The changing room is small with no shower facility, separate toilet. Clean and bright.
I love this place, it is amazing. If you like yoga and smiles then do pay a visit. The classes are of a consistently high standard and I always leave feeling relaxed. The tea and cucumber water on offer are nice touches too. I would ask for more Sat and Sun classes though.
So far, I've tried Iyengar and I'm happy to come back again, I won't be returning to the hatha class. The style of teaching is just not suitable for me. I'll be trying to come to the Iyengar again though.
Evolve was lovely to visit and I very much enjoyed the first of my yoga sessions, a 1.5 hr class. The practice studio was great as were the facilities. Am looking forward to visiting again. My yoga teacher did not ask about injuries which seemed unusual to me , but otherwise the class was really good.
Than you and see you again!
