Save our soles. The word on the block is that it’s time to swap Microsoft Office for a new kind of computer programme. Whether you have hard heels or tired toes, Fish Analytics will help you to identify which areas of your feet are most in need of some good old TLC. Time to put down that mouse and go in search of some new fishy friends...
At the beginning of your treatment your human therapist (as opposed to the tiny fish therapists they work with) will check your feet for signs of any medical conditions. Assuming you are given the go ahead, you will then be invited to place your feet in a tank of water filled with Garra Rufa fish. These little fish nibble away at dead skin, helping your therapists to see which are your problem areas. This stage of the treatment lasts roughly half an hour, so sit back, relax and let your cares drift away...
Ready to hear the clever part? Whilst the fish snack on your soles, an underwater camera will be recording their every movement. This camera is hooked up to a special computer that records the results and plots them in a way that’s easy to digest visually – so you can see what damage those high heels or walking boots have really done to your feet.
After your toes have been towelled dry, your therapist will talk you through the computer results and apply a special lotion to the areas identified by the fish. The result? Baby soft skin that will seriously disappoint the hungry fish in future.
If you haven’t been paying your feet enough attention recently, why not let the Garra Rufa fish perform a spot of watery analysis and make dry, rough skin a thing of the past. Fish Analysis is not suitable for those with certain foot conditions – a therapist will be able to advise you if you aren’t sure whether this treatment is right for you.
The Fish Analytics treatment has been developed by London fish spa Aqua Sheko, who really know their stuff – they have performed more than 12,000 fish pedicures.
