How does dermaplaning exfoliate your skin?<\/h3>\n

Dermaplaning exfoliates your skin by using a surgical scalpel to gently scrape away dead skin cells and fine hairs. This process removes the dull outer layer, revealing fresher feeling skin underneath and helping to reduce clogged pores and potential breakouts.<\/div>\n

What should you expect immediately after a dermaplaning treatment?<\/h3>\n

You can expect your skin to look glowier very quickly, with minimal downtime. Some people notice a little redness and drier skin for a few days, but most can return to work or daily activities about 40 minutes after the treatment. It is important to apply sun cream after, as exfoliated skin is more prone to sun damage.<\/div>\n

How long do dermaplaning results last?<\/h3>\n

The results of dermaplaning can last for a few weeks, up to four at best. The treatment removes “three weeks worth” of dead skin cells for a month-long glow. Your skincare products are absorbed more easily and makeup applies more evenly during this time.<\/div>\n

Does dermaplaning remove all facial hair or just fine hairs?<\/h3>\n

Dermaplaning mainly removes fine hairs and dead skin from the face, rather than all facial hair. While hair removal is a benefit, the main purpose is to exfoliate and refresh the skin’s surface.<\/div>\n

The exfoliating treatment works by scraping dead cells (and fine hairs) from the skin's surface with a surgical scalpel, moving the tool slowly across the face. It’s an instant skin refresh. How? Build-up of dead skin can make for a 'dull' complexion and encourage breakouts (from clogged pores and blocked hair follicles).
