This treatment is for two areas. Can be arms, legs or 'the muffin tops'.
Exposure to cooling via energy extraction causes fat cell apoptosis - a natural, controlled cell death, which leads to the release of cytokines and other inflammatory mediators that gradually eliminate the affected cells. Inflammatory cells gradually digest the affected fat cells in the months after the procedure, reducing the thickness of the fat layer. Lipids from the fat cells are slowly released and transported by the lymphatic system to be processed and eliminated, much like that of fat from food. Results look natural and can be seen as early as three weeks following treatment, with the most dramatic results after one to three months.
Many patients are satisfied after one treatment. However, during your consultation, we can discuss a treatment plan that will meet your specific treatment needs.
What happens during the treatment?
To initiate the treatment we will position the device on your body. The device will then draw the bulge up between two cooling panels. The sensation is a firm pull and pressure - enough of a pull to ensure the selected tissue will be cooled most efficiently. An hour or so later, depending on your needs, you're done.
When will I see results?
You may start to see changes as quickly as three weeks after your treatment, and will experience the most dramatic results after one to three months. Your body is still flushing fat cells and will continue doing so for up to four to six months after treatment.
You cannot be treated with cryo procedure if you have any of the following conditions: Raynaud’s disease (Raynaud's disease is a rare disorder of the blood vessels, usually in the fingers and toes, where digits show blue discoloration secondary to cold exposure) Pregnancy Implanted medical device Recent surgery in the treatment area (within 1 year) Umbilical or inguinal hernia Cold sensitivities Patients with Hepatitis C (cryoglobulins)
