IPL is renowned for skin rejuvenation and is very effective for Acne. It works by using gentle pulses of light which act as an antibacterial agent to reduce inflammation, bacteria, soothe and repair compromised skin and tighten pores. Your skin will be cleansed, treated and the appropiate aftercare products will be applied.
Please note: Anyone taking Roaccutane or using any products containing Retinol at any percentage will need to stop them at least three months before IPL treatments can commence. Most, but not all skin tones are suitable for IPL treatments. A full refund will be given if you are unsuitable for treatment and you will also be offered a complimentary facial to have on the day or within one month of your appointment. Initial appointment is for patch test.
Sun tan policy: A patch test cannot be carried out if you have a recent suntan, you will need to wait at least four weeks so your tan has subsided before booking your initial consultation. A patch test cannot be carried out if you have fake tan on the area, please ensure the fake tan has been completely removed before your consultation and every future treatment. During the course of treatments if you have booked a holiday your last treatment before your holiday should be two weeks before you go. Your next treatment will recommence approximately four weeks after you return home. Your Therapist will check your tan has gone, If she thinks you still have mild tan still, your treatment will be postponed until your skin his back to its natural colour. Please note on average four weeks is enough time to lose a tan. If you have any queries regarding suntanning and treatments please do not hesitate to telephone us.
