Also known as 'Nuad Bo Rarn', Thai massage is a type of bodywork therapy that has been practising in Asia for more than 2000 years. Originally from Northern India, it was brought to Thailand by Dr. Shivago Komarpaj where it expanded, becoming one of the most popular massages in that country.

This technique is based on slow and rhythmic pressures and stretches along the muscles and ligaments, working on the energy lines, also called sen in Thai. It is said that Thai massage is a form of passive yoga because the therapist helps to stretch the client's body like in a yoga class. This therapy is performed on a futon (mat) on the floor, like Shiatsu massage. It is recommended to wear comfortable and loose clothing to receive this treatment.
