After a busy day of work both our bodies and minds are looking for calm and kind attention. This weekly class aims to provide you with both, with a meditative mindfulness practice cultivating awareness of subtleties within our yoga practice. For those looking to begin or explore a mindfulness or meditation practice, interweaving it with movement can help us move away from busy brains to a place of embodiment with more ease. The class content will change from week to week and will include a combination of hatha yoga asanas (both flowing and static), breath attention (pranayama) and mindfulness meditation. Creating space and time within yoga postures melds the awareness and compassion to help bring us back to wholeness, acceptance and improved ability to cope with life’s demands. Much of the practice will be close to the ground for a calming, yin effect and is suitable for all levels, including beginners.
