WHAT IS IONTOPHORESIS: Iontophoresis is the transport of electrically charged chemicals called ions through the skin. An electrical current is then passed through the skin which facilitates greater penetration of vitamins into the skin (Vitamin infusion). Ions that have been transported are absorbed into the living cells, stored and eventually produce changes. Iontophoresis treatments can help to restore the normal electrical potential of aging cells. This improves their permeability. Iontophoresis treatments are performed using the Environ DF Machine - considered the most effective machine in the world today for enhancing penetration of high doses of vitamins and serums into the skin and delivering facials that are at the very forefront of scientific skincare. The DF Machine uses a combination of Pulsed Iontophoresis ( the use of a specifically pulsed electrical current to facilitate penetration of vitamins into the cells), and Low Frequency Sonophoresis (the use of sound waves to transport vitamin molecules through the skin).
