me and my husband spend 1 day a month at greenwoods so we pretty much knew what to expect, as its being refurbished there is a lot of workmen all around the place, big holes in walls and the distinct smell of paint, the loungers around the pool are new and very uncomfortable, and when we arrived at 11am they were all being used so we had to sit on chairs, despite notices saying that you cannot reserve beds, they had been and had towels left on them, the receptionist came and removed the towels from 4 beds so we and another couple could lay down. our lunch was booked for 1pm, and the menu has been cut down quite noticeably i had the sea bass my husband had the duck, the mains took 45 minutes to arrive, but they were very nice. we went back to the pool area after lunch when i felt really ill, i dont know if it was the food or the smell of paint, but i knew i didnt feel well, i went and sat in the spa reception area near the ladies toilets which were out of use when i knew i was going to vomit, so i had to use the mens, i continued being sick for about the next hour or so mostly in the car park as i wanted to go home by then , the day cost 50.00 and we always have a good time at greenwoods but i dont think ill be rushing back there any time soon.
