This was a Mother's Day gift experience and to be honest, although the treatments were good, the facilities were not! The changing rooms were dark with only communal changing area, no privacy curtains or booths. The showers were dirty, the lockers didn't work at all. There were ants by the poolside and sand in the small paddling part of the pool! The pool area was not luxurious by any stretch of the imagination. Our lunch consisted of a pre cooked, only just warm jacket potato with chewy, over cooked prawns and cheap tasting tuna. Mayonnaise was requested to help it go down, but this never arrived! Our juices arrived at the end of our meals and when we asked to see the desert menu we were told 'no', because the chef was too busy catering for a lunch party, so there was going to be a wait of one to one and a half hours for desert. We decided to order a coffee, which took 2 members of staff nearly 20 minutes to make and the apology we got was that the waitress was rushed off her feet! We were not pampered, we felt like an inconvenience and NO I would never recommend this hotel to a friend! My son spent his hard earned money on this expensive treat and I'd have rather bad a bunch of flowers, at least they'd have smelt nice!
