Greenwoods Hotel & Spa

Having been to Greenwoods on many occasions before, I have to admit I've had a better experience on previous visits than that of the most recent one on the 22nd April 2014. On arrival I wasn't able to get parked, this was due to the refurbishment of the car park surface, and after driving around had to pull up and go to reception, staff greeted me and sorted it immediately. The 2 course lunch was faultless as was the dining room staff attending to our table. Once in the Spa area we were greeted by new loungers but it was difficult to get on them as they were too close to access them from the sides, so a 'dive' was needed from the bottom onto them which I and my 74 year old mum were not able to achieve. Unfortunately the steam room was not working and the temperature of the jacuzzi was too cold. That said it was still a good day, it was good value and I appreciate these were minor hiccups whilst the refurbishments take place. Staff were helpful as always and it hasn't put me off returning back to Greenwoods in the future.
