My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our overnight spa break at The Bridge. The hotel grounds are lovely and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. The room was clean and comfortable with a TV and tea/coffee making facilities (no hair dryer). We were hugely impressed by the food - afternoon tea was lovely and the dinner and breakfast we received as part of our package was absolutely delicious! I'd visit again just on the food alone!
The spa facilities were clean but basic compared to other spas I have visted and quite spread out throughout the building. The outdoor hot tub was a great place to start with our complimentary glass of bubbly however, we were disappointed to find that the plunge pool was empty and the Nordic sauna out of order - no apologies were made for this. Up one set of stairs was a relaxation room which had a lovely ambience with gentle music and dimmed lighting. Up another set of stairs at the other side of the spa was a sauna, steam room and 2 individual foot spas. The facilities were small and basic - but they served their purpose and I did feel incredibly relaxed at the end of my visit.
