Rather a strange set-up - we felt they were trying to put in another hotel's facilities into theirs. Nice reception area but strange that some bedrooms led off from here. Good check in and quick tour. Changing rooms fine, good showers, but robes and towels scattered about. Great jacuzzi but bubble function not working. Didn't pay the required £10 extra for 20 mins in the exercise pool (against a current, that needs a lifeguard present) but it looked okay. Very good sauna and steam. We easily passed two hours here. Relax room somewhat cramped with uncomfy beds, one music track on repeat, no glasses. My 30min back and shoulder massage was pretty good, hard enough, did some reparative work. My partner's didn't seem to get much out of his. Afternoon (choice of) tea was very nice and cake delicious. Overall, a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon, and excellent value for £25.
