I'm usually fairly easily pleased but was really disappointed with this experience. From them not taking my coat (had to leave it on the sofa where another customer was sat) to having my hair washed where the hairdresser managed to wash my face (twice) with hot water, this place was a real let down. The hairdresser did not look at my hair while it was dry or ask me any questions about my hair (I had asked for just a trim but as I have slightly frizz prone hair with layers I would have thought she'd want a look before washing it). I explained 3 times where I wanted my parting (nothing fancy - just on the left) and in the end I asked if I could borrow the comb to show her as she kept putting it on the right.
She trimmed the bottom sections of my hair but then started cutting the hair framing my face really short and I asked her not to as I only wanted a trim. I now have chunks of hair which hang at my jaw line. When I asked her not to do this she then stopped cutting my hair and did not trim the top sections at all. She did not offer or apply any product to my hair and started the blow dry, which genuinely I could have done better myself, and I'm not that good at blow drying. When she finished (by this point the whole experience had taken 30 minutes) she declared it finished. She did not ask if I was happy with it, show me the back etc. When I was leaving the receptionist, who was very nice, asked me if I was happy. I explained that I was not happy at all - that she had cut too much off the front, that my hair was still damp at the back and it was really sticky and course (I think the conditioner had not been rinsed off properly as no product had been used).
I really would not recommend this place, despite the other positive reviews as I now have to grow the weird chunks of hair hanging round my face out and will be more cautious where I go next time.
