DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Bristol South at Cadbury House

Hotel itself was nice, its a lovely old hall with a modern extension which houses the hotel rooms. There were lots of little things which occurred during our stay that individually i could have let pass, but put together were just annoying, such as: invalidating our room keys after the first night, staff not knowing we had booked 2 spa days and refused to give us robes on the second day until we argued about it, room not being ready so we had to cart our bags back to the car.
The rooms were very nice however and despite being near the top of the hotel and under a flight path i did not notice any noise at all. The gym has been recently refurbished to a very high standard with modern and top end equipment. In comparison the spa area felt slightly tired - missing tiles in lots of places, water fountain not working during our stay. The fact there is only one pool means you do have to share it with children and the pool classes - not always very relaxing! Our treatments were very good and relaxing and the treatment staff were all very nice and friendly. MPW Restaurant was again ok, service was very good but food was not as special as i had hoped, especially given the cost.
Overall a decent stay but i probably wouldn't visit again.
