The Retreat Spa at Meon Valley, A Marriott Hotel & Country Club

Having had so many superb spa offers I had high hopes for this one and they were sadly dashed. Chaotic reception area, the receptionist took my papers but didn't properly book us in. She just gave us a towel and told us the babies would be in the pool until 11.30, which was really not what I was expecting for a spa day!
Trying to change was a nightmare as there were mothers and babies everywhere, we had to change in the toilets, yuck!
Despite the picture on this website there were no loungers just some very uncomfortable chairs, hardly relaxing! Although there was a water fountain we couldn't find any cups and there were no facilities for ordering drinks. Considering how hot it was in the spa this seems a bit foolish.
The pool was very small although the changing rooms and showers looked beautiful a couple of cubicles would have helped.
Thoroughly disappointed, we didn't stay very long at all. Perhaps if the staff had been more friendly or interested it would have helped. I know it was a cheap deal but it really wasn't worth it. I have never given such a disappointing review of any spa before :-(
