This is a bit of a strange review as I am writing it from two angles, one having spent a day at the spa last year (including a massage) and also from what my girlfriend has said about her treatment which I bought for her this year.
From my own point of view The Spa at Homewood is one of the best spa's Ive been to. With it being part of the hotel it was very quiet and tranquil. The massage I received last year was a neck, shoulders and back one. It was pretty perfect.
From my girlfriends point of view from her recent experience she said it was equally as relaxing and was well worth the price (even though she wasn't paying!). She had an hour long full body massage. She not only was the massage very good but the therapist also incorporated almost low level physiotherapy within the treatment. The therapist was able to tailor the massage to her exact needs rather than just having a set routine.
Overall I would highly recommend The Spa at Homewood. I am of the belief that I'd rather pay a little extra for somewhere like this and for it to be a fulfilling experience rather than spending less but ultimately coming away thinking "if only they had..."
