This isn't a spa, it's a treatment room.
I booked a spa day online which included lunch and afternoon tea and I think I spent more time eating than having treatments! Staff at Guisborough Hall are excellent and were all aware of there spa guests. A table had been reserved in the lobby for afternoon tea after my treatments too.
It does mention that there is a sauna and relaxation room but this wasn't mentioned when I went for my treatments and I wasn't shown these facilities, so I just went in for my treatments and came back out. There is no gown and slippers experience. It was also a gorgeous day outside and it would have been nice if you could sit out and enjoy the grounds, but this wasn't to be.
Massage was more like a sports massage than a therapeutic one and I was still aching the next day. I'm not a big fan of scalp massages but that was ok, when she did the facial she was actually scrubbing the mask off with her fingers quite vigorously, which I thought can't be good! :o/
If you are after a spa experience I think you will be disappointed, but if you want a few treatments then try it out.
