First impressions when I went in to book my appointment was yep friendly staff, looked well run and relaxed atmosphere.
When I arrived for my appointment, I had called in to say I was running 5 mins late and I was told problem, the stylist is just finishing someone's hair, she's a few mins behind on schedule. That was fine by me. However once I got there, it transpired that a few mins meant more like 35-40 mins behind schedule. I sat and waited until my turn came.
My stylist who would cut my hair had a quick look at my hair and asked what I wanted done to it, I was then told what products would be used in my hair which was helpful and informative.
I had my hair washed by an apprentice and then the stylist took over and got to work cutting my hair. Didn't take very long, my hair was washed, cut and dried within 30 minutes. Not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing.
Stylist was good in terms of telling me what they were doing and what each product was used for. In terms of how I looked after the hair...the same!
This is by no means limited to Parlour Hair - majority of hair salons i have been to, the stylists have no suggestions or ideas, even when I ask to look different. That is rather disappointing and all in all you come out feeling like the same person rather than feeling like a new person after a haircut.
I'm not sure if I would go again...waiting around for a long period of time is not my fav thing. The search for the perfect hair salon and stylist goes on!
The staff were very friendly, however today might just have been a bad day for them!
