Eastern Natural Care

Visited Feb 2013

I visited this establishment on 15 February 2013. When I arrived the proprieter was receiving lots of calls from people wishing to redeem their vouchers some requesting massages for two which they were told could not be accommodated only one person at a time. I later saw why. I was asked to complete a questionnaire and then asked if I had any ailments, I didn't but agreed my work was stressful. On hearing this the proprietor suggested I would benefit from deep tissue massage instead of the relaxation massage as stipulated on the voucher, I decline.

I presume because I declined I was allocated the space in the corridor privacy provided by an inadequate curtains that barely held together. During the time I was there I was visited by the proprietor who said he was going to use hot cupping even before the massage. He then left and another man came in to put a blanket around me and tell me I would be provided with my massage shortly then in came the therapist. It really was as busy as the underground and I was now 17 minutes into my appointment. The space was so tiny that even the very slim therapist? had to reposition the bed so that she could walk around.

The therapist tried the same approach as the proprietor to get me to part with my hard earned money. "Ooooh you have a lot of stiffness in your neck...see here...yes...oooh" then came the suggestion of deep tissue massage. Again I declined so the pressure she was applying to the massage reduced to what I can only describe as that you would use if moisturising, it was most bizzare. She appeared fascinated with my neck and shoulder for about 20 minutes of the massage which lasted for 37 out of the 60 minutes before moving on to my back and legs. I was then 'cold' cupped for a further 15 minutes.

This lot need reporting to Trading Standards. If you have money to burn or can't be bothered to mositurise yourself pay them a visit.
