After destroying my beautiful long lashes with Mink Lashes on 3 occassions I decided to give it a go to Lash Perfect offered at this location via a discounted site deal.
I removed my clumped mink lashes some one week earlier and used lash enhancer to make them grow faster in order not to waste any time upon reaching this location located right opposite Barbican tube station.
I booked the appointment some 2 months in advance as I normally do but one week prior to my appointment a receptionist asked me if I want to cancel the appointment which I found strange but then I realised it was just before the Valentine day so probably they wanted to give my appointment to one of their usual customers. As I am a very easy going person but do not like to be messed around (just like any other person) I declined their offer and on the day of the appointment I arrived some 10min earlier. The receptionist was very nice and professional (probably she was the owner) and the facilities are located on the ground floor of this ex-council turned very expensive flats in the City. The premises are not what you call 'top of the range' but I liked they are very professional and welcoming. Do your research before or view the entrance on GoogleStreetView as is very easy to find.
The beautician who did my lashes was a brilliant lady in her mid twenties who despite her young age is very friendly and knowleadgeable. However having had lashes done in max 40min in the past, I wish it did not take some 80min with me stuck on a bed which gave me a minor back problem. The result was brilliant though, my eyes look more open than when using Mink Lashes, or maybe is her technique. My skin did not like though the eye make up remover she used, it was so bad we temporarily thought I might have an allergy. The lashes seem to be taken from a tray, which is not as organised as the people who did my MinkLashes (had them picked from a small finger 'pouch' where the glue was also kept), hence not discovering lashes in my hair or on my face like on this occassion.
These problems averted, I however like what the young beautician did to my eyelashes, I hope they will not get clumpy after 4 weeks the way the MinkLashes got, so I might enjoy them for 6 weeks as they say they should.
