I visited Backstage LA this month for a Brazilian Blowdry with a voucher bought on-line for £69.
Firstly i was greeted by a friendly smile from my stylist and a warm feeling salon atmosphere. Before she began she gave me an information card all about the 'type' of brazilian blowdry that Backstage LA does. (there are many different manufacturers). From this card i had a choice of 2 treatments - Amino Keratin which is what my voucher was for - this is a chemical free Brazilian Blow-dry that will condition hair and reduce frizz or for £20 extra I could up-grade my treatment to a slightly more stronger version, this will condition my hair and straighten out my curls I took option 2 as my hair is wild!!!. I was also told that because the voucher stated hair below shoulder length was an extra £10 charge my overall extra cost was £30. I was very happy with all the information i was given and to pay £99 in total i feel was a fair deal for a beautiful treatment and first class haircut. If you are buying a voucher on-line remember to read all small print and look at the type of treatment you are buying. This voucher clearly stated Chemical free it was only when i arrived at the salon that i chose to up-grade. The staff are not trying to up-sell to you they are simply giving you a very professional service. I also chatted with my stylist about some colour change for me and she was very helpfull. I drunk amazing coffee too and had all up-to-date magazines to read. I had to leave my treatment on my hair for 24hours and when i washed it off the results were amazing. I had read this review site before i went to this salon and if you scroll down to last september there are some not very nice reviews. It couldnt be anymore the opposite from my experience. I asked my stylist why are there some bad reviews and she told that the salon was bought by new owners one year ago and it has been their goal to turn this salon around. The staff are working hard to bulid a good reputation and I say well done.I think wahanda should take off reviews that were not created by this staff.
I will return to this salon again and i will also recommend to friends. I hope you find this review thorough and helpful.
