The Bannatyne Spa Burton on Trent

A mixed day. Started by having to wait around in reception as we were told they were short staffed. Used the pool area and it was quite good apart from the jacuzzi having several areas where the paint was missing. We had booked a lunch for a specific time, but when we got there they had not even started to prepare it so it was no quicker than actually just turning up and ordering food. Went for our treatments and was shown into a waiting room and told to help ourselves to coffee. Would have been nice if they put some cups in the room to enable this to happen. Obviously a cost cuttting exercise, like not having enough staff. The treatments were very good as were the staff performing them.
Overall not an experience that I would rush to repeat as the service side lets the place down. I also thought that having to pay £2 to get a towel and dressing gown on top of the £75 for the day was just money grabbing.
