As hotel guests, we could have used the pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room for no extra charge - and they were top class for hotel facilities - but for only £70 for the two of us, we had a full day's access to the wonderful hydrotherapy and relaxation areas. The variety and quality of features in the hydrotherapy area was amazing - far better than in spas where I have paid £100+ for one person - and the relaxation zone was very tranquil and comfortable.
Staff were very helpful and knowledgable, amking everything very easy and straightforward, changing rooms were comfortable with generously sized lockers and the overall ambience was peaceful and relaxing - and not overcrowded.
Although my facial was lovely, it wasn't anything out of the ordinary, unlike the rest of the spa. The spa itself was the best I have ever visited by a long way.
However I would have liked to be able to get a cup of tea or soft drink in the "wet" area of the spa rather than having to dry and change to go for one. I think on fine days it would have been possible to get one in the garden, but on the wet and windy day I visited this wasn't an option.
