This was our second visit to Ardencote Manor and we didn't enjoy the experience as much as the first time. It could be that it was quite a lot busier but I didn't feel the service was as good. The treatments were OK but it felt that the beautician was just going through the motion and the knots in the shoulders were untouched. The evening meal in the restaurant really needs improving; the portions are ridiculously small and do not delivery to the grandiloquent description on the menu, in fact we were so hungry by the end of the meal that we ordered cheese and crackers at extra cost. To our surprise we were brought 2 plates with different cheeses without having been consulted, the crackers challenged the best of teeth and the grapes had seen better days. To add insult to injury we were then asked to vacate the table and we offered a complimentary coffee on the terrace where it was quite nippy, I asked for a peppermint tea and was brought 3 sachets of teas none of which were mint! We saw the funny side of it but I think that next year we may look for a different spa.
