Arrived at the spa and the receptionist staff were not very welcoming. They did not give much information regarding our treatments, said i'm sorry but it's going to be a rushed introduction to the spa. The lockers for the spa were separate to the lockers in the changing rooms which meant you had to keep walking back and forth through the receptionist in your dressing gown and slippers which felt rather uncomfortable. We had to ask for a key for a locker in the changing rooms. The treatments were lovely and the spa staff were very welcoming and friendly, however was a bit of a pain getting changed back into our clothes to walk across the car park to the main hotel, luckily it wasn't raining. They did explain beforehand that the treatments would be in the hotel as there was building work going on, but we didn't realize that we wouldn't have indoor access to the hotel. Spa facilities were good and clean but there is no Jacuzzi. Maybe there will be one put in once it has been renovated. Again we experienced poor service from reception at lunch time. We specified on a form we wanted our lunch at 13.30, however we waited a good 20 minutes but nothing arrived so we had to get up and ask them to bring it over, yet it still took a while to arrive. They said they would bring over water but it never arrived. We also asked for a glass of sparkling wine with our lunch however the guy serving us said that they didn't do wine here, they only do it on spa days (We were on a spa day!). He said he could get us some rose but he only had enough for one glass (there were two of us, so obviously this wouldn't do). In the end he said he would go to the cellar to get some but we were half way through our lunch before it arrived. We also ordered a brownie with ice cream which never arrived so we had to cancel it in the end. Overall very poor service from receptionist staff which put a downer on our spa experience. Unfortunately would not recommend.
