My experience was supposed to be a birthday treat to celebrate my 40th birthday. When I phoned up to confirm they advised me that there would only be one therapist available due to in-house training and that swimming lessons would be on on the Tuesday. We spent our relaxing spa time listening to crying babies learning to swim and teachers singing to them. The treatments themselves didn't relax me as one of the therapist began arguing with me because I wanted my full treatment time and she said we were late so this would cut into the treatment time. I was so tense because of this. When she performed the manicure which was complimentary as there was problems with the lack of staff to treat my Mum and me for my birthday which I only got because my Mum gave up one of her treatments as they were arguing with me about time and how the lateness meant I wouldn't get it. The Manicure itself was not complete because I had clear nail polish on which she said she removed on both hands but afterwards I noticed she only did one hand and the other was not complete. Also the manicure was held on one of there beds lying on the bed which was strange as every manicure I have had before the person sits down and puts her hands out. This was a bad experience and spoiled my birthday if you are having a special occasion stay away from the Holyrood Hotel it is the worst experience I have ever had and I should have listened to the reviews on Wahanda before going as they are all true.
