To say that our stay here was 'okay' is probably about as positive as we can be about this place. After having been contacted by the MacDonald 'upgrades team' who suggested we pay just £25 for an upgrade to a superior room with drinks voucher, we were allocated our room on arrival.
First impressions were positive but unfortunately what turned out to be a faulty water pump a few doors away kept us both awake for most of the night. We commented on this to the hotel staff the following morning and have since been assured that the pump is to be repaired. The General Manager offered us a free night's stay however we are unlikely to get the opportunity to visit again.
Oh, and check your invoice when you leave. We handed in our drinks voucher at the bar but were still charged for the drinks we got. Unfortunately we didn't pick up on this until it was much too late!
Otherwise, the Spa was great and the massage wonderful!
