If you have any skin problems then you should not be using a fish spa at all. The therapist should talk you through things however just incase they forget there is a list of contras and any skin problems or broken skin should not use these.
The fish are ok generally its the countless people who have "fed" them before you and also the hygene levels of the water is it filtered as it should.
As a general rule of thumb if in doubt just dont do it.
Infections that can set in psoriasis are not pleasant. I would suggest you look for a acupuncturist who will be able to help control your outbreaks.
Hope this helps
You should consider using a reputable salon, where the staff are all trained.. Providing that there are no broken areas of skin you are quite safe. Also the garra are very efficient at removal of the plaques so let the staff 'manning' the spa know when it feels a little uncomfortable - by then they will have cleaned it off completely. What you (and they) don't want is for you to emerge raw!..But you will find a very noticeable difference in that it reduces itching considerably
