There are few places in the world like Champneys at Tring. Steeped in history, this elegant English stately home was opened as a health farm in 1925 by the celebrated natropath Stanley Lief, who pioneered the concept of holistic well-being. Today, Tring remains true to those roots - it is an outstanding health resort in the very heart of Hertfordshire, dedicated to the well-being of your mind, your body, your soul. And who wouldn't flourish here? Set in 170 acres of rolling parkland, a spa day at Tring will still your thoughts in a busy world. Little wonder it tops the A-list hot-list for rest and relaxation.

A £14million refurbishment is complete, including a state-of-the-art gym and cardio-fitness theatre. Yet the Rothschild Mansion retains a delicious hint of history: take tea, perhaps in the graceful Drawing Room, perfect your snooker in the Games Room, roam the manicured grounds before an invigorating swim in the new 25-metre pool. After a yoga or pilates class, flake out with a good book in the warm comfort of your room.

Nicola Menage is a holistic massage therapist based at the Yurt in the City, located in the centre of Cardiff. Here you can find a place to heal and revive whilst escaping the hustle & bustle of city life.

Nicola has studied Holistic Massage Therapy at the Bristol College of Massage and Bodywork. She is fully qualified with a Level 4 Diploma in Holistic Massage with Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology. She provides holistic massage therapies including Deep Tissue, Aromatherapy and Lymphatic Drainage, specialising in massage for people experiencing stress, anxiety, depression and other emotional difficulties.

To give you a totally relaxing experience the yurt is based in a peaceful location, completely hidden from the main road. The access route is off Llandaff road through the archway in-between 70a Donnington house and Gilmors. From here, keep walking through the courtyard, keeping the Printhaus and Dusty Knuckle Pizza on your right. From here just follow the Yurt in the City signs to The Boneyard where you will find the Yurt located in the back warehouse past the brightly coloured shipping containers.

Parking is limited at The Boneyard so it is best to park on one of the side streets by Chapter Arts Centre or on Glyn Street. There is also free 2hr parking at the bottom of Severn Road just off Cowbridge road. All these places are only a few minutes walk from the yurt.
