Hillmotts venue in Dorset nestles under Bulbarrow Hill on a small working beef farm in an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is situated 8 miles west of the Georgian town of Blandford Forum and four miles south of Sturminster Newton. The Barn was originally built in 1849 where dairy cows were kept in stalls and milked by hand. Some of the milk was processed and made into cheese and the whey would have been fed back to the pigs on the farm. The working Shire horses were also stabled in the barn. Now the barns feature stunning bedrooms and indoor swimming pool. The Barn has solar tubes on many of the roofs which will produce annually between 50% - 60% of the hot water required with up to 100% during the summer and we are pleased to announce that this will be an ongoing programme as we are committed to using as much renewable energy as possible.
