Grand by nature, welcome to old world luxury. There is nothing boutique here; this is opulent splendour, style and service from another age. Bagshot, Surrey Bagshot, Surrey Show Map
    45 reviews (45)
Step through the door of The Spa at Pennyhill Park Hotel, and you're already on the the way to restoring body and soul... discover a place to make your own, for an hour, a day or as long as you wish! At Pennyhill Park Spa we believe a spa experience should be a carefully crafted journey – unique, indulgent and prescriptive. Our seasonal and lifestyle inspired spa menu acknowledges the ebb and flow of changing seasons, the transition of life, the different aspects of your environment. With a highly edited treatment selection we have combined the unique synergy of plant science with luxurious botanical oils and indulgent aromas and textures to deliver treatments that are just as ‘feel-good’ as they are effective. Envelope yourself in the tranquillity, surrender to the beauty of your spectacular surrounding and allow your body and mind the time and space to unwind and float free. With autumns arrival the days get shorter and nights longer, the air cooler and drier and our bodies metabolism slows down. Our autumn/winter spa menu reflects this transition into colder months with a focus on protecting, nurturing and hydrating while improving your sense of wellbeing. At the first glimpse of spring we welcome the smell of blossoming flowers, longer, lighter and warmer days and a feeling of renewed vigour and energy. Our Summer Solstice spa menu reflects this transition to warmer, more active months with a focus on rejuvenating, restoring and energising body and mind.

  • Vineyard Hotel and Spa

Newbury, Berkshire Newbury, Berkshire Show Map
    10 reviews (10)
We love wine. We eat, sleep and drink it. That's why we want it to be enjoyed by everyone. Since opening over a decade ago, we’ve been passionate about wine here at The Vineyard. Last year, we decided it was time to share our enthusiasum, knowledge and expertise of wine and food pairing with all our guests and really get the message out there. With a successful winery in California, an award winning wine list, a friendly, knowledgeable sommelier team, headed up by UK Sommelier of the Year 2011, Yohann Jousselin MS, over 30,000 bottles in our wine cellar and an extensive wine events programme, we realised we had lots to shout about! Like many great wines, we’re improving with age. Our public space including the reception, bar and casual dining area has been transformed, so now as guests walk through our doors, they will instantly see why we are called The Vineyard. A dramatic new painting depicting the infamous Judgement of Paris wine tasting in 1976, an impressive glass-floored wine vault containing over 880 bottles giving guests the opportunity to see down to our cellar, and a brand new menu concept are just some of the exciting changes we’ve made. The Judgement of Paris painting acts as a perfect centre piece to the new look and feel of the public spaces within the hotel. The painting sits within the Taste room, a new casual dining space with a stunning new bar giving guests the option to dine and drink in a less formal dining area. As you walk through the doors, you’re not only met with the view of the painting and the vault, but with the bright, airy and elegant lounge area, that’s perfect for enjoying a glass of wine and afternoon tea with friends, family or colleagues. It’s not just the new space that’s had a radical facelift, our menu has also been also been re-designed to reflect the way many of us now enjoy dining out – smaller plates and more variety in a more relaxed atmosphere. Executive Chef, Daniel Galmiche has created a fascinating and varied menu packed with flavour and exciting food combinations. Now with 18 new sweet and savoury dishes, the menu is proving to be even more popular than we first thought! It also works incredibly well with our Short Wine List featuring 100 wines to try by the glass. We encourage guests to use our friendly and approachable wine coaches to select the perfect wine to match with each delicious dish. To complement the more relaxed dining approach, our attitude towards service has also changed. All staff at The Vineyard from sommeliers and waitresses through to housekeeping and reception have been trained to deliver a more casual and personable approach to service that’s still sleek and professional. We’ve also developed a wine training course appropriately called ‘Vintelligence’, which all staff have attended so that we can be confident that whilst the sommeliers or ‘wine coaches’ as we call them, are the experts in their field, other members of staff also have great wine knowledge. Inspired by the sun-soaked vineyards of California, The Vineyard – located in the heart of rural Berkshire – is a true haven for food and wine lovers, art enthusiasts or those just looking for a relaxing weekend getaway. The stunning premises feature an award-winning wine list, top class menu, spa facility and an extensive wine events programme.

  • Grand Hotel, Eastbourne

Eastbourne, East Sussex Eastbourne, East Sussex Show Map
    76 reviews (76)
Affectionately known as The White Palace, the hotel commands breathtaking views of the sea and the dramatic cliffs at Beachy Head. Grand by name but not by nature, The Grand Hotel in Eastbourne is not only the only 5 star luxury hotel to be found on the British coastline, we’re also one of the friendliest. The Grand is a landmark on the Eastbourne seafront, where we have been looking after generations of returning happy families, and we often welcome back parents, who first stayed with us as youngsters, checking in with children or grandchildren of their own. The Grand stands out amongst other Eastbourne hotels being only a short walk from the Pier in one direction, and the glorious Sussex downs in the other, so we are ideally located for exploring this charming corner of East Sussex. Few hotels offer such a complete range of leisure facilities including a luxury outdoor swimming pool, special holiday packages for children and a choice of dining options that includes arguably the finest gourmet restaurant on the entire south coast. However, we believe it’s our unique blend of friendly service that’s just as important for bringing families, business people, young romantics and anniversary couples back to The Grand Hotel time and time again. Many of our staff have been with us for ten or twenty years or more. It’s as if they find The Grand just as hard to leave as our guests do.
