Tylney Hall truly is the ideal retreat for a relaxing pamper break. Set around a charming courtyard, complete with fountain, the Health Suite has everything needed for a relaxing break. Our Beauty Salon offers a wide range of treatments, individually tailored to your own needs and our professional, knowledgeable and helpful therapists are on hand to offer any advice you may need.

Tylney Hall is a Grade II listed mansion with beautiful gardens of significant historic interest. The current house dates from 1898 and served as a hospital during the First World War, later becoming a private school. Today, it’s one of England’s most comfortable and characterful country house hotels.

For summer days, the outdoor pool, tennis courts and croquet lawn compete for your attention. In winter the gym and indoor pool, which features a whirlpool, offer a more comfortable workout. There is an 18-hole golf course adjacent to the hotel. Horse riding, archery and clay pigeon shooting can easily be arranged. A sauna, game of snooker or simply a stroll around the beautiful gardens and wooded trails can be yet another way to relax at Tylney Hall. Set in 66 acres of parkland and gardens, we will be delighted to accommodate a wide variety of leisure activities.

The hotel is fantastic itself and the food and service is extraordinary. The spa was not as our expectations, we though bigger and more complete than actually was. So at the end we did not enjoy as much the "weekend spa". In my view, if you are looking for a great hotel with good service and good food, this is the place; but if you are looking to relax in a spa, definitely I do not recommend this place

We loved the hotel but our rooms were on the top floor of the old house and were very hot all night. I used the fan provided but for the prices charged I feel that there should be air conditioning. Otherwise a good stay.

We had a great time here, but upon arrival the room wasn't ready and the trainee member of staff could not give us a time when it would be. Additionally I was charged twice for the deal, although this was reimbursed on check out. The massage was lovely, very relaxing. However, they need some sound proof doors as I could hear everything, including the receptionist typing! I had hoped there would be more spa facilities, including a sauna and steam room within the main spa area. Additionally the hot tub was the same temperature as the pool - we would have preferred it hotter!
But overall, we had a fantastic stay here. The grounds are beautiful, beds comfortable and food delicious!

Lovely lovely place. A real escape from the world. The grounds are wonderful. The staff are lovely, we didn't finish out afternoon tea and the scones were sent to our Tom.

However, it is not cheap for extras, e.g. for a bottle of wine at dinner. Staff were attentive but could be a bit slow, for example we had to wait a few minutes to be greeted and seated for breakfast. A member of staff also spilt a glass of champagne over me and my friend, they were very apologetic and brought another one but we did not get any compensation.

Everythinfg was just perfect- the location the food the service- only our room did not have the courtain for one tiny window that let the sun through and as a result the room was bright as daylight at 6am and it was difficult to sleep after that.
Apart from that it was an amazing experience!!

It was an amazing environment: the hotel itself was impressive the surrounding lovely and enjoyable. The room was spacious and clean. However for a hotel which pretends to be high class, attention to detail was clearly lacking. The staff was not well trained (especially a lack of subtlety in looking for empty plates ... felt we were push out) and as customer, you were not really taken care of. On the overall it was nice but not the standard expected for the price.

Very professional and attentive staff. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Lovely building. Spa facilities limited. A very pleasant experience overall. A little expensive compared to similar establishments.

Decor was a bit grandmother in our room and it was so pricey we just didn't feel like it was value for money.

I didn't feel it was value for money at all..... We were given the wrong room so had to wait for that to be changed. The reception staff didn't tell us anything (eg where anything was, what time breakfast was) - and they were so slow, no sense of urgency st all. The gym equipment was extremely limited. Both me and my friend had the massage and it was below average.
At dinner we were made to feel like we weren't the right clientele and were advised that we might feel more comfortable eating in the lounge.... It was very stuffy, too many staff who didn't know what they were doing - felt like we were in fawlty towers...
At breakfast we waited 15 mins for our food and drinks - again lots of staff doing not much.
Wouldn't recommend it at all - very dated, very slow staff and made to feel uncomfortable
