I went there on Saturday to have the Keratin treatment done. I used to have it with Luke and previously with Angelicka who have now both left. The girl who did my hair did not introduce herself, did not even have a proper consultation just told one of the junior to wash my hair. So I thought maybe she's busy so I didn't think any of it.
After having my hair washed the junior ( I think his name was Callum) started drying my hair but with a flat brush. I don't know how many of you knows about the Keratin treatment so I will explain.
The Keratin treatment is a smoothing straightening treatment and last for about 2-3 months or sometimes more depending how good your stylist is and the kind of shampoo you use at home etc.
This is not the first time I've had this done; i normally have it every year for the last 5 years and I've always gone to Tony and Guy in Banbury for this treatment only. So you can say that I am used to the treatment.
First of all the Junior did not dry my hair completely as it was still wet in some places and just left me there without saying anything. I thought maybe the stylist ( which I still don't know the name by the way as she did not introduce herself) will dry my hair properly.
After about 15 mins she came with her trolley and started getting ready for the treatment. I was very shocked because as far as I know my hair was still wet. I told her that my hair is wet, she said no the junior has already dry it so I insisted that it isn't completely dried.
I explained that before when I had the treatment the stylist would completetly blowdry my hair straight and then put the treatment.
She said no she won't do this so she carried on.
I was so shocked that I remained in my seat but now thinking of it I should have stopped and walked away.
I paid £99 for this treatment that I know will not last because it has not been done properly.
The salon should be closed as I find everyone so unfriendly. I asked for a cappuccino and never got one!
I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN and please please please do not go there, go to Lawrence Anthony instead as they are much better with providing an excellent customer service.
I really think Tony and Guy in Banbury should close down because they do not care about their customer; they do not listen which is the first most important thing in the Hairdressing world.

I had my hair coloured at toni and guy banbury and my hair turned out a ginger orange colour. It was meant to be blonde and brown high lights and lowlights. I had to go back twice after that to get it re-coloured by another person to correct the mistake. I would not recommend this salon. I spent 6 hours in this salon overall to get my hair corrected. This process cost me £120 with no reduction for there error...go to lawerence anthony

i have been going to toni & guy in banbury for quite a while now, my colourist ben has left & i got a lovely new lady called claudia, no problem there. i then went for my hair to be washed, which again was very nice, she then put me a complimentary something or other on while the girl who was cutting my hair was free, 20 minutes later i was getting very annoyed when the girl who was to cut my hair said she was ready for me, i went to sit in the chair & she absolutely reeked of cigarettes, she had been outside smoking while i was waiting to get my hair cut, not very professional what so ever. there are too many hairdressers in banbury to be treated like this, so i will be going to another & hopefully getting someone who is not a smoker & prefers to be outside smoking while her customer is getting very irate, bye bye toni & guy.

I felt compelled to write a review after today's visit (it was my second visit to this particular salon). My hairdresser (Mat) was excellent - he asks, he listens, and I love the end result! I also like his manner - the fact that he does not try and engage me in some small talk or ask polite questions about my private life which he is absolutely not interested in.
What puts me off going there (apart from the prices) is very strange attitude of other staff. The salon was almost empty apart from couple other customers one of which was also waiting on Mat. There seemed to be many young girls there (hairdressers? trainees? admin?) with quite a bit of attitude and not a flicker of smile. The one who washed my hair did not say a word and then sat me down with water dripping down my collar and left! The girls were chatting between themselves and looking annoyed when they had to do anything - like pass my coat or take a payment. When I mentioned £5 discount I had received via sms, distaste on girl's face was so obvious I almost backtracked. NOT A SMILE!
It costs a lot to have your hair done at T&G and there are many many places around much cheaper than that. Might miss the great haircut but at least not spoil my mood.

Oh dear! Did you complain to the Manager at Toni & Guy? It seems a shame to forego a good haircut because of the attitude of the rest of the staff. I would hope the salon would make attempts to put things right for you, and I'm sure the new management would appreciate the opportunity to listen to you and get the customer service up to standard it should be. No one wants to feel the way you were made to and no business wants that either. Why not give them another chance?
