Not as expected - more like a leisure centre. Changing rooms weren't the best, very dated. Lots of children were there so it wasn't a relaxing experience. The sauna and steam room are very small but do there job. The massage was great though, as well as the afternoon tea.
When we got there we weren't even greeted with a hello. The woman just held out her hand to take my paperwork from me. They didn't know what we had booked what was involved. We kept getting told things would be brought to us i.e. Receipt of Payment for another treatment a coffee etc but we had to keep asking for things. Also we were then asked how we were paying for our treatment and was it being charged to the room! We explained again that we had paid in full. The young girl was quite rude in her approach to us. Would not recommend this to anyone else.
We had a very relaxing, indulging weekend. The staff were very attentive, both at the hotel and at the spa. The treatments were just what we wanted, and the food was so good I was almost tempted to lick the plate!!
The only very minor thing to improve on would be the interior in the rooms, especially the Bathroom perhaps. However, this didn't effect our stay at all.
Me and my friend visited for a relaxing spa day, the hotel accomodated to my friends needs by providing a pregnancy therapist. The spa treatment was 5 star and we were allowed to use the facitilities, the decor it self was a bit outdated and the changing rooms were not the best cleaning. On arrival we had tea and cakes or 'cake', we were not offered any mutlipute choices for cakes or given more than one.
I would recommended this for your first time at a spa, I do not think I will be returning.
