While I would rate the staff, location and cleanliness of this place very highly, I would strongly advise anyone thinking of booking laser hair removal sessions here to be very careful. I started laser sessions here two years ago for a number of areas and followed my therapist's instructions to the letter. After the initial 6 sessions, I waited the recommended two months to see the overall result...I had been happy with the results in between sessions so I was a bit surprised to see that the hair was growing back without much change. I reported this to the therapist and discussed several options...I ultimately agreed to two more full body sessions and an additional three leg sessions along with some complementary underarm sessions as she thought the extensive regrowth could have been down to not having the correct setting during the first 6 sessions. Again, I was happy with the result between the sessions and completed my last full body session late last year.
I moved abroad shortly after that and again noticed that after 11 sessions on my legs and at least 15 on my underarms, I was back to shaving every day. I emailed the clinic to ask about the laser type and settings that were used in my sessions and mentioned that I was unhappily surprised with the lack of change after so many sessions (and so much money spent). The reply from the Dr was vaguely polite verging on condescending, especially when it was intimated that perhaps the sessions were not successful because I didn't attend every four weeks, according to his records. I took offence to that, because I followed the instructions of the therapist exactly and was able to look back through my diary and confirm that I had indeed attended every 4 weeks during the first 6 sessions. When you're spending literally thousands on something like this, you tend to follow instructions to ensure the procedure works.
I have since begun laser hair removal again in the new country I moved to...during the first consultation I attended, I showed the new place the laser information and settings used by the Rejuvenation Clinic and they expressed great surprise over firstly the type of laser used and secondly the amount of time recommended to wait between sessions. They advised that the laser used on me is recommended for more surface level work, like tattoo removal or clearing up pigmentation and that it's less effective for hair removal because it doesn't always reach the root. They also noted that a hair regrowth cycle is 7-8 weeks instead of 4 weeks, so waiting 4 weeks between sessions wasn't advisable as the hair wouldn't have begin to grow back yet. They suggested that the reason it seemed effective between sessions was because the hair hadn't fully returned before it was being lasered away again and I wasn't able to see real results until the 6 sessions were over and done with.
It's a huge shame to hear that, but seeing the regrowth that has taken place after the sessions at rejuvenation clinic, it's not too surprising. Perhaps others have had a better experience with it but having started laser hair removal again with a new place (and a purpose built laser) I can already say I'm seeing a positive difference that I didn't see with the rejuvenation clinic. If you're considering getting this done, I strongly suggest you do your research about laser types first and speak with people who have completed their sessions at least 6 months earlier so you can hear first hand if they were happy with the result.
