I was taken aback by how small the spa wad, not much available and they booked in too many people (consider it's quite small) for it to be relaxing. Not impressed with it at all. The massage itself was amazing, though not the full hour I paid for.

I also paid for either a bento box or a 2 course meal- however whilst there I wasn't given an option...was given the bento box (where the food wasn't even nice) . Finally was supposed to get a champagne, and didn't. Not impressed at all.

The only thing which I can say I was a little disappointed with was that they didn't have a pool. Which is ridiculous because they don't say they have one! The staff were fantastic, especially as we initially needed to change the guests on the day due to illness. The facial was amazing, including a head massage! Food was brilliant, both dinner and breakfast. I would recommend to anyone!

We booked the luxury afternoon tea, which included 60 minute treatment and afternoon tea.

The spa is quite small with limited facilities: small thermal suite, no pool. So not somewhere you could spend more than an hour (excluding treatments etc).

I booked for a 60 minute massage but staff were happy to accommodate my request to use the 60 minutes for a half hour facial and a half hour back massage. I had both with the same therapist ( Sadena). She was fantastic!! The facial was really thorough and her assessment of my skin was spot on. The back massage was AMAZING! Best i have ever had Can only imagine how relaxed I'd have felt of I'd have had the full hour. Would highly recommend Sadena.

Afternoon tea was ok. Small selection of sandwiches and scone, cake, teacake and chocolate mousse.

Unfortunately the day I intended to relax stressed us out! Was a busy production line of ladies in robes. We were to be one of them when we eventually were 'seen to' to fill out forms . We were told our afternoon tea was served in the 'restaurant' which was 2 tables in the bar area of main hotel shared by shoppers and rugby fans... and as it is a no robe area ,we felt we couldn't use the facilities until we had eaten so went over right away. To get there internally, it takes 2 lifts and a long corridor to get to. At the bar,we were told to forward a copy of our email to them and 'should have contacted them two days in advance' .??!We waited nearly 2 hours for the food to come which was stale bread and cakes. Rather inedible. We went over to enjoy the facilities but didn't have long before our treatment and sat waiting for our robes while other robed ladies were waiting for their afternoon tea in the spa.although they said they were having to take a taxi home as they had waited an hour, their bread and cakes were fresh and had used the facilities as were in robes-better than being sent over to the 'restaurant'.we chased up robes which eventually arrived 20 mins before treatment at 530! And got changed (in messy now changing rooms not clean at all)and decided we best head back up.we managed to find a tidy lounger and were soon called in. The lady I had wasn't engaging and gave no pressure to massage as was probably tired by then. We went to use the facilities and enjoyed a relax on the heated beds that became free-used towels as we hadn't seen anything cleaned. We soon had to dress though as half hour to close. We exited to find the outside door was locked and the inside one wouldn't let us back in! After knocking and pressing buzzer, we were eventually let back in but had to go through hotel to get out- great fire risk policy guys!phew time to wind down and get something to eat after all that!,

When I phoned the spa to inform them my partner was pregnant I was told they do mum to be spas to accommodate. When we arrived at the spa it wasn't the case. We were told we had booked a deep tissue massage that I hadn't as it was a surprise for my partners birthday and I wanted her to choose what treatment she had. Her massage was very unsatisfing and other treatments would of been more appropriate.

This hotel was honestly the best. I couldn't fault it' at all. The room was amazing, clean and comfortable. The food was the best. Definitely 5 star quality. The spa was my favourite place so relaxing and calming. I'm going to come back again i had such a relaxing weekend.

Beautiful spa, lovely massage, staff very polite and helpful...terrible food! I'd rather pay an extra for the "light lunch" and get some freshly prepared food, not a box containing some raw noodles with raw onions! Great value for money, as you get an hour treatment each along with the full use of spa facilities.

Great treatment but facilities in basement making it feel very dark and claustrophobic, feel other hotels with better facilities offered better deals

Fantastic hotel!!! Got a free upgrade to one of the panoramic rooms which was a very nice suprise. Couldn't fault the helpfulness and friendlyness of the staff. The spa was relaxing and the deep tissue massage and the like and ginger scrub me and my girlfriend had were fantastic. The food in the resturant was brilliant once again and it was very nice to be able to use our £50 for food on any items we wanted. Overall perfect hotel for a romantic get away and the location is brilliant. It took us around 10 mins to walk into Manchester to the main Christmas market. 5 STAR for everything!!!

Nothing like what is described on website. Was stuck in lift for 35 minuites. Staff were not very friendly on sympathetic. NoSpa. More like a little area with a small steam room and sauna. Paid 20 pounds for parking. This was not mentioned when booking. Restaraunt did not have anything for vegetarians or Muslims. Went out to eat.
Treatments were supposed to be for 60 mins. However actual massage time was 40 mins.
I would be in no rush to return. Very disappointed.
No value for money whatsoever.
