I had booked for full leg wax and Brazilian wax the Thursday before my wedding, then a full body massage and manicure on the Friday evening.
I was telephoned about 40 mins before my waxing appointment to be told the therapist I had been booked with was not qualified to do bikini waxing and that other only person in that day who was, was working on reception, despite asking I was told it was absolutely not possible. The leg wax itself was then terrible, I came home and found large patches on both legs totally unwaxed!
Moving onto the massage, average at best, I was not asked what sort of pressure I would like, and was subject to inane chatter throughout.
Onto the manicure, given that the therapist was fully aware I was getting married the next day I was expecting some effort to be put into it. My nails were entirely filed down to nothing, cuticles very poorly done. The actual varnish was a total disaster, I was concerned that they were still sticky after an hour, and needed to leave, I was told they would be fine. I woke up the next morning (wedding day) they were still sticky, and had collected fluff etc, honestly the worst manicure I have ever had.
My sister and I then attempted to remove the varnish, and could not, having to file/pick and peel! I can only presume that shellac top coat had been used, not set or finished (I had asked for normal nail varnish).
Although it was nice ,there is def plenty of room for improvement.
Ok good points ,The food was great couldn't fault
Bar staff very friendly .
Nice relaxing views and peaceful .
Nice outside area on balcony and lovely modern eating area
Ok the not so good ,
I was asked to pay on arrival although I had paid on line
before I phoned to arrange a suitable time for treatments .
So this should of been noted in the diary for staff to be aware.
It would've been nice if someone could show you around to where everything is .
The staff clearly are tired and short staffed but this needs to be kept to them selves .
Being a therapist I know what a full body massage is !!
Maybe some more training would be good to refresh?
Yorning several times although carnt be helped shouldn't be so noticeable ,
And having gulps of water should be kept for before and after treatment not 2 mins into treatment .
Throwing extreamly warm
Oil straight on to the back making me jump is not my idea of heaven and warming up
the muscles should be a must!!
Making your client feel welcome being friendly and asking what type of pressure one would like and any areas of concern should be carried out before you start.
The pool was quite cold .
Lots of things but maybe this was an off day
The only way to improve is to make you aware I'm sorry
If it comes across harsh .
People come for time out because they need it so
Maybe some of my points will be helpful .
