I really enjoyed my twilight session and even felt a bit special - I had a lovely mausseur and very relaxing facilities. The outdoor sun terrace with jacuzzi and sauna was the surprise of the day, Only thing missing was the bar/restaurant which is currently being refurbished but i didn't go there to eat.

Lovely hotel and lovely experience, sadly jacuzzi wasn't working but that's the only thing I'd change!

I would tell my friends that the Massage was really good. The Spa facilities were good in terms on the Sauna and Steam room. The problem was that myself and the wife have come for the afternoon to relax and unwind which was great for the first 30mins until the SWIMMING LESSONS started and the screaming kids took over. We put our robes and towels on the on the chairs went to the Sauna come out to find our stuff moved and the parents of the kids in the swimming sat in our seats. When booking I feel you should inform us that on the date we are booking there will be SWIMMING LESSONS taking place. If we new kids were going to be there with would of brought our OWN!!!

Nice place to go, would have been more of an experience if everything wasn't so separate rather than together. The treatment area is through the dining area upstairs, and you have to walk back through this, past the gym to get to the pool. The facilities on offer (pool, Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna) were busy as anyone could use them not just spa people, which meant the pool was very loud with kids. The bar area was quite dirty though, the floor, the side panel on the bar & other visible uncleanliness. The robes they gave us seemed quite old & could have done with replacing. However these were minor factors on the day, all in all I had a lovely time, nice & relaxing. I like the fact they offer a separate ladies steam room & sauna as it can be a bit daunting. Would go again, but would recommend you take some sandals to walk around in as they are not offered & your own water because there isn't any refreshment options unless you purchase at the bar.

Lovely relaxing day, staff very friendly and helpful, though the spa could do with a bigger area to be able to sit and relax, or more seats around the pool area.

Treatments were good, facilities were ok. We weren't provided with slippers as advertised so make sure you bring flip flops. Pool wasn't what we expected, not really a relaxing spa as there were lots of children running about and activities going on. One thing that wasn't made clear to us was that we would have to pay extra for the food. The voucher included a 2 course dinner, however when we got there we were told we could only order up to a value of £14 each. Most mains were around £12 ish and starters were around £5 so we ended up having to pay the extra on top of what we had already paid, plus the drinks which were not included. We had to wait a long time for food even though the restaurant was fairly quiet. Overall experience was ok although we would try a different spa next time.

For me, it was just a LOT of money to use a pool, steam room and sauna. Lunch was ok.

Had a lovely twilight package, im a head therapist so quite fussy.
The staff were excellent, lovely food and good value.
The only negative point is they need a bigger relaxation area and the jacuzzi was no where near warm enough.

The venue is beautiful and the spa facilities are very nice and were better than we expected! The massage was average I had received one from a friend who was training and felt that my experience was better with that friend. Spa facilities definitely worth a visit but not sure I'd pay for a massage again, although there are several other treatments so don't be put off!

Great value for money, and great massage. Food was slow to arrive (nearly an hour from ordering) but we weren't in a rush.

My sister and I booked a Couples Day at the spa through Lastminute.com so we got a discounted price. We had an hour's session in the spa which included a short thai foot massage, a coconut body scrub (which was great although it would have been good to have had a longer session), a mini facial and head, neck and shoulder massage - again it was good but it would have been nice to have had a longer session. However, we did know when we booked that all the treatments would only take an hour and as we only paid £55 for the treatments, full use of the facilities and a light lunch, we thought this was excellent value for money.
The Spa is part of a larger health club so there are lots of other users there as well. Lunch was in the main cafe area but we were only two people among many sitting in our robes and flip flops!
The pool area was disappointing, quite clinical, and definitely designed for serious swimmers. It was not really a leisure pool - there was very little seating or lounging are around the pool - but it was not really the sort of area that you would want to sit in anyway.
Overall, the experience was good, the treatments and the staff were great, but it was not a luxurious experience but, for the money we paid, it was excellent. We had a great day out!

This spa is a very poor add on to a leisure centre. The issues started when greeted and shown the facilities. There was a quiet room next to the spa reception but you then had to walk through the public restaurant down stairs past numerous activity rooms with classes. The changing rooms were ok but when changed into my gown provided and plastic flip flops which never fitted as 3 sizes too small, we went into the pool area. OMG what a nightmare. There was an elderly water class on which had loud booming music and took over 3/4 of the pool. The pool was mixed with leisure centre guests and very very unhappy spa guests. We managed to use the jacuzzi as full of the other spa guests. The jacuzzi had tiles missing and a section down to the concrete. The sauna and steam room were the same and tatty. There was only 3 sun loungers and 4 chairs around the pool. The public classes continued though out the day. The lunch provided was in the public restaurant where you sat wearing your robe looking a lemon. The meal was nice but did not include a drink which I don't call a lunch. After lunch we had a massage which was ok but couldn't wait to leave. Never again. Just to top this all off, when we got back to the car I received a call from the spa demanding more money as apparently this was a peak time. I argued this with them and they agreed their mistake.

I brought this experience for my partners Birthday and if i am being completely honest, I don't think my expectations were met. On a positive note the staff were friendly, the facial was lovely, the facilitates were clean and the food was very good. For the negatives.... there was no sign of the thai foot ritual, the 'massage' is only short and given as part of the facial (so cleverly sold as an extra when it isn't really), although promised the couples suite we did not get to use it, as it was fully booked and some of the facilities were out of order. I am currently in contact with the hotel regarding my feedback and they have been very understanding so far/trying to rectify this. We may possibly have just had an unfortunate amount of things go wrong so hopefully this would not be the same for everyone!

The treatments were very nice although they did feel a bit rushed. we had our 3 treatments within 45 mins!! Customer service was excellent though as when I complained they offered us another treatment to make up the time, so it was very well handled.
