Led by our dedicated team of doctors and specialised nurses, we will put together a personal medical weight loss programme for you, including advice and guidance on nutrition, lifestyle and, where appropriate, medication to help you manage your appetite and lose weight.

When you attend the weight loss clinic for the first time you will be asked to register. You will then see one of our specialised nurses, who will discuss privately with you your eating habits and lifestyle, weigh you, take your blood pressure, and explain the aims of the clinic. Then if appropriate, they will dicuss how much weight you should aim to lose.

Our doctor will ask you a series of questions about your medical history, to see if you are medically fit and able to follow one of our regimes.

You will then be recommended a particular diet to follow, explaining what you should and should not do, then fine tune your eating plan to suit your taste. If appropriate, you may be prescribed some form of appetite suppressant, often known as diet pills or slimming tablets, or lipase inhibitor to help you adapt to the new weight loss diet. These come in the form of a tablet or capsule.

You will be asked to return in a week's time, to check that you are happy with your weight loss plans and any medication, answer any questions arising from your medical weight loss treatment and check that you are starting to lose weight. This process of regular consultation at one of our clinics is at the heart of our weight loss plans, enabling you to feel comfortable that you are progressing with all the support and encouragement you need.
