Although the venue was okay there were children having swimming lesson's in the pool and this did not create the indented relaxed spa atmosphere. Additionally there were only 3 hours free parking; an additional 3 hours could be obtained by dining in the restaurant, not ideal when you have paid for your spa experience.

Spa facilities were very poor, there was children's swimming lessons going on in the pool at the time we visited, so children were running around and diving in the pool- very noisy. Also radio 1 was left on in the spa area which at the time just appeared to be rock music, this just did not feel very relaxing at all.

We were not made properly aware of the times we were supposed to come in for treatments as the confirmation email simply asks you to contact the spa to arrange everything, this isn't a problem but getting through to anyone on the phone was. Nobody ever answers! I was told to check my emails to see the email they had sent me with a time- this email was in my inbox but I wasn't made aware I would need to keep checking my emails as the confirmation email simply stated I would need to contact the spa to arrange everything. The email also requested that I responded to confirm this time..

I hate complaining but the current system in place was not effective.. And the facilities were so poor we left shortly after arriving. This just was not worth the £105 I paid as a present for my girlfriend. I spoke to lastminute.com about the issue who tried to phone the hotel.. There was no answer.

The staff were very kind to us when we arrived and when I explained our issues. It was good to be offered the chance to come back another time, but I won't be in Manchester again any time soon and honestly would not want to pay the price tag for this spa.

This was not what I expected. If you're looking for a relaxing spa day don't book. I booked it thinking it was the Radisson in the Manchester city centre. Once I figured out it was at the airport I was a little disheartened but I thought it was the same hotel so should be fine. Once we arrived we were sat left to fill out forms smack bang in the middle of a busy gym, the sound of people working out and weights dropping on the ground was not very relaxing! We were then given robes and slippers and shown into the pool area which was awful. A really small claustrophobic room with a tiny pool. We used the sauna which was making a really loud buzz while we were in there which again was not very relaxing. All this being said the staff were lovely and the actual massage and facial was nice it was just let down by the poor surroundings, mostly my fault for not reading before I bought really, shame!

Fantastic value for money. I really enjoyed my facial and the beauty therapist was lovely and very good. All the staff really looked after us and helped out with any problems we had. the pool, sauna and steam room were great but would have been nice if there was a jacuzzi. The seating was a bit limited on the day we visited as it was busy so we had to wait until people left to be able to sit down but would go again.

This was a disappointing "spa" day and a lesson in "you get what you pay for", It's not a spa, its a small, dated health club attached to a hotel and in need of modernisation. They have obviously decided to generate more income by selling spa days. The place is difficult to find as access is not via the hotel (which itself is very nice). The changing rooms are tiny and could not handle the amount of people there. The pool was tiny, freezing and half of it was roped of for children's swimming lessons! The last thing I expected to see at a spa! There were about 5 loungers and about 5 chairs on the pool-side, but there were probably about 20 people there at once, There was not enough room for everyone to sit down, including the parents of children having swimming lessons, and everyone was just looking at eachother awkwardly! The treatments were ok and the staff were really very nice. I feel sorry for them that the management are expecting them to host spa days when they don't have the facilities. The free bubbly was warm and not very nice and the free strawberries never materialised. Not relaxing, I wouldn't go back.

Mothers day special, full joyed stone massage therapy and facial. Both treatments were spot on and I would definitely go again and recommended Radisson Blu Spa facilities.

Complimentary strawberry's and tangerine's were given with a glass of bubbly.

The only thing that would of gave this experience 10/10 is either a after-noon tea or evening meal.

Pros: Super friendly staff throughout the hotel who could not do enough for us - not just within the spa and gym, but also the security guard/car park attendant and all of the staff in the restaurant - that just left me with a really good impression of the entire hotel. Really nice gym with the latest equipment. And to top it off, I had first-class facial which was the real highlight of the day. In fact, it was actually the best facial I have ever had.

Cons: The pool was a lot smaller than I had hoped, which made it awkward to take a leisurely swim because there was some sort of kids' swimming lesson taking place at the same time. The covers on the pool loungers were in desperate need of a wash.

The whole experience at the Spa was really good, The treatments were very relaxing the same as the rooms were nice and tidy and facilities were good, however the spaces at the pool were small but overall it's a good place to spend your day. The steam room and sauna were clean and really good. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family.
