Massage treatment was fine but as previous reviewer mentioned this is not a spa. It is all bolted on and the place does not make sense. The sauna was also broken on my visit and renovations were taking place, so there was tape and plastic covers on the floor. If you use the mens changing rooms you have to walk across the gym floor in your shorts to access the pool which was full of kids. The hydro pool was not warm enough and the changing rooms themselves were small and of poor quality.

If had known before that this is just a leisure center with some treatment rooms tagged on no where near the pool I would not have booked it - not what I would call Spa.

We booked pretty last minute - 2 days before and the spa made an effort to shift their diary so the 2 of us could have our 55 min treatment at the same time. I actually had 2 shorter treatments (facial and a massage) which were fab. The facilities were OK - it is a health club so there were mother and child swimming lessons in the pool. The hydrotherapy pool is nice though and the sauna was great. There are also loungers by the pool, despite the ambiance not being as relaxing as we expected. Afternoon tea was lovely as well, although we weren't sure which hotel it was at (there are 2 hotels next door with very similar names!). I would recommend, whoever I would say it's not everyone's cup of tea.

I only got a therapeutic massage although I had asked for a deep tissue massage but I was too embarrassed to say anything during the treatment
The spa was a gym and spa which I was aware of however I thought it was going to be a lot cleaner especially as the gym membership was over £90 per month. I found the changing rooms and toilets to be really dirty, there was hand soap and when I asked for it from one of the staff members, it wasn't replaced.
The light lunch that came with the spa day was ok although I was told this was going to be in the hotel restaurant, it seems at the last minute this was changed to the cafe near the pool.

Very disappointed by a fake tan - was excited as looks like a great place and I'd had an excellent massage her previously (though echo comments elsewhere on it becoming a leisure centre on weekends rather than a spa retreat - kids everywhere and teeny changing rooms not able to accommodate, so very stressful experience in pool and out). Back to the fake tan - it was awful. Orange soles of my feet, shocking swathes of browny orange on sides of fingers and thighs for days after, orange knees, elbows and ankles, etc etc - really really bad and for a special occasion so I looked mad. And I'd done the full body scrub there with them too to avoid all this. Really need to up their game on this. Appalling. A real shame as not what I'd expected in going here versus the high street walk-in places. Staff were nice otherwise

This place is a SHOCKER - honestly do not know how it got 4 stars - the photos do not do the place a fair service - it feels like you're in the middle of a government leisure centre and the facilities are like that. We got completely ripped off as the lunch that was offered was actually just a pool-side toasted sandwich which cost all of £5. There was no ambiance, the spa facilities were terrible and it was not a place we could stay in at all.
We complained and asked for money back but were only offered vouchers... when they didn't seem to understand that we would never want to come back there nor refer anyone to this place.

Good evening Sam

Following our email exchange this was not the conversation we had. Based on the information you provided us with we have offered a gesture of goodwill. The lunch/afternoon tea included in this package is served at the hotel.

I would highly recommend this facial treatment. Rachel is very experienced and highly professional. She always gives you a good advice and makes you feel special. The results are amazing and last long.
