For the most part, this is a painless treatment. Although some points can feel hot and if zapped just right can feel like a hot shock, but this doesn’t happen very often. I’ve now had two treatments and the discolouration patches on my face are slowly getting lighter. Good aftercare is a must! Use spf 50 for your face before you leave the clinic. Even on a cloudy day. Your face won’t be red after treatment but its vulnerable to the sun and uv light, so protect it. Can’t wait TIL my next session!
I’ve given one star mainly because of the manager of the salon. I booked and paid £39 in full on treatwell before mypedicure. There was no option to choose a gel pedicure including gel removal so I just chose a regular gel pedicure. At the end the manager told me I owed a further £10 for the removal. I am aware that it is standard to pay for gel removal, but if you are also having a reapply I’ve never paid more than £5 at a variety of different salons all over London. Plus, having paid for my treatment using the options available on treatwell I didn’t expect to be asked for more money. Other salons on treatwell have different options including removal so it is possible to do.
I said that £10 seemed steep given that I had already paid £39 for the treatment and he told me that “normal people would just pay it”.
I realised that there was no point arguing with this man, paid and left. I will obviously never return. The pedicure itself was actually really good but the salon is average and the treatment from the manager at the end completely soured the whole experience. Wouldn’t recommend.
The upstairs of the salon doesn’t look v nice, but downstairs the treatments rooms are clean and presentable. Chetna who did my facial was really lovely and did a great job, would highly recommend this service and her in particular
