I visited this spa last weekend with my mum for her birthday. The staff were really lovely and friendly and the 2 treatments we had (manicure and back massage) were also really nice. We didn't actually use the other spa facilities so cannot comment on those. We booked the deal which included the treatments, spa use and afternoon tea in the hotel and overall it was a really nice day and we felt it was good value for money. Very enjoyable day and would recommend :)

Overall quite good. Hotel was very lovely, staff were polite and helpful. When checking in ask nicely if there is a better room available and they will upgrade you for free. Very clean and excellent location but bed was on the small side!

I was right next to the castle so great view. Lots of shops & places to eat, I didn't have any problems with noise as others have mentioned. We had 2 course meal included, which was ok. Didn't have a lot to choose from, as it was a set menu but turned out fine. Drinks were of average cost. I thought the breakfast was a lot better and really enjoyed it.

Spa was ok, nice atmosphere but Quite pricey for what you get. No robes or slippers provided and only have set amount of time to access spa before treatments. Treatments was rushed and didn't get the 55 mins as quoted. Massage was good, but wish I didnt bother with the pedicure as didn't do much with the skin on my feet... Only made a difference to my nails.

Overall we had a good time, no complaints but I wouldn't rush back.

Excellent value for money, staff were lovely and friendly and the mud treatment left our skin super soft. Really enjoyed it and would definitely do again.

The welcome to the spa was very warm, however the strong smell of gas when entering the spa was awful. It is also quite strange that you cannot access the spa from the hotel itself.
The staff were very friendly and the back, neck and shoulder and body wrap treatments we had were lovely.
There was no real atmosphere and the size of the spa is very small, you would struggle to get more than 5 people comfortably in the changing room. The changing rooms also had a very strong smell of drains and sewage.
Basically, the size and condition of the building and lack of facilities lets it down, which isn't fair on the nice staff or a reflection of the lovely hotel it is associated with.
Compared to the spa at the Sir Christopher Wren hotel, I'm afraid I will not be back to this spa.

The room was too hot and they had 2 fans trying to cool it down - on the 23rd of December….
The wax job done its the best and I still have patches of hair left.
In some instances the wax was pulled off too slowly and I am bruised.

Good afternoon. Apologies that you were unhappy with your experience with us. Our therapists carry out a lot if intimate waxing and this is very usual. I have dropped you an email to rectify this problem and look forward to hearing from you soon.

On arrival I was very impressed - the spa looked lovely so I had high hopes.
The room where I had the treatment was way too hot and they had two fans on to try to keep temperatures down. This is on the 23rd of December.
The beauty therapist didn't actually know what a brazilian wax was and I had to ask for it to be properly done. I was argued with when I explained what a proper brazilian was and I have been having them done for 6 years.
The wax actually done was not a proper brazilian at all.
The wax was too hot and wasn't pulled off quickly enough or in the correct manner so I am burnt and bruised in my bikini area.
I have called a few times but its an answer machine and am still waiting for the Spa manager to call me back.

Lovely facilities with fab hydro pool and sauna and steam room. Its quite small, but we were lucky and there was only 3 other people in there with us. I think the facilities could do with a lick of paint, the bright pink walls were not quite in keeping with a relaxing spa experience - but thats just personal taste. Loved the ice bucket shower too - a must do if your visiting!

Was very disappointed with the Rasul and mud treatment. It was not clearly described that you had to go into a tiny chamber.
I took my friend as a birthday treat and she is claustrophobic and therefore was unable to have the treatment. If it wasn't for the understanding staff offering us an alternative treatment it would have been a waste of time.
There are only 2 chairs to just relax so felt a bit rushed.
The afternoon tea was ok, cakes very nice but sandwiches were bland and dry.
I wouldn't go there again or recommend it.

For the price we paid I can't really complain. We did have a good time, but some of the facilities in the spa need a little tlc. I'm sure it doesn't cost much to fix a broken shower head. Also, the shower that has different lights and effects etc (let's call it the experience shower because I'm not sure of the actual name of it) was out of order. Was a bit of a shame, because we were looking forward to it.
The afternoon tea was okay. Staff could have been a bit more welcoming. The tea and sandwiches etc were okay. Nothing to write home about.

We had booked our afternoon tea for 3pm but when we got there had to have this at 2pm as there was a large party booked in the hotel. This then made our spa visit very rushed.

me and my mum were the only customers in the spa which was great as we had the place to ourselves (particularly good seeing as it is a small spa). Staff very friendly, facilities clean and lovely, rasul experience was nice but not hot enough in the room

We found the staff lacking in enthusiasm and not very helpful in both ,spa and restaurant.i have been before and I had a great time that is why I decided to take my friend for her birthday.
