I have had several massages before from various spas but the Muscle Melt was certainly one of the best I have had. Unfortunately the jaccuzi was out of use, however, we were informed way before even leaving home and also offered the option to rebook the treatments. Lunch was included in the deal which again was alot better than any other spa lunch we have received. The only (very slight) downside was the changing room's which felt a little cold and the showers cluttered with various empty bottles apart from that we will definitely be back for both the food and treatments!

I went for the sweetness in bloom pregnancy treatment and it was lovely, with extra things in the treatment I didn't realise I was getting. Really relaxing and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Only thing that let it down was the music going crackly all the time and noise from traffic outside.

Loved everything except when I got there they said I could have the massage but had only tried emailing me that morning to rearrange my appointment, baring in mind they open at 10 and my appointment was at 11.30. They had not attempted to call me at all which I thought was really bad. After explaining to them I'd travelled on the train for 45 minutes she said she moved some things around and suddenly I could be fit in for my 2 hour appointment which made no sense to me but there we go. So in the end I was really happy as I had a wonderful treatment and the staff were really nice. I think the organising could have been better before hand and should have offered to move things around first and not attempt to send me away because it was only when I complained that was offered to me, so if booking through wahanda make sure you call to confirm your appointment as its not set in stone when booked through here

Overall very good. Staff didn't Introduce themselves before the massage and being face down on the couch we couldn't see their faces! That's being picky. The treatments were good and the convert edged church is something a bit different. Lunch was great

The spa facility was not available to me as I had only booked for a neck, back and shoulder massage. The massage was amazing and I really enjoyed it and I was asked if the pressure was to my liking. Which it was.
My only gripe is the therapist didn't introduce herself .

Very pleasant day thank you. The two staff were very helpful and both gave excellent massages. The hot tub was out of order but these things happen. The cafe served lovely food , in all an excellent day ,just a little more attention to detail with the cleaning would make this 5 star. A lovely unusual setting.

Lovely experience and girly day out. Staff on arrival were polite and professional and made us feel relaxed and un-rushed. Spa treatments were lovely and we were all uber relaxed by the end of the day. I had the Body/back melt massage. It was amazing. It seemed to go on far longer than 30mins and I'm still feeling the benefits 3 days later. No aches or pains in my shoulders as yet! The only let down was the lunch. Although the food was an average standard and was tasty, there weren't really many healthy options on the menu (considering it was a spa day,) eg- salads, tapas, grilled chicken sandwich. Everything seemed a bit stodgy and fatty. There was also no afternoon tea option, which had been mentioned on the spa website. The cafe itself was a bit chilly, busy (lots of young children) and noisy, not really a relaxing atmosphere. Otherwise our day was lovely and we have already planned to return!

Visiting Shrewsbury over the weekend booked last minute spa day. The place is small , good for friends or by yourself . My booking was at 2pm , lunch was served first. I would prefer if the cafe was separated from the spa customers to the general public so I can relax in my bathrobe. The spa is uni-sex, although the changing room is unisex I would prefer if there is a private cubicle to change . Lovely relaxing room , needs magazines while relaxing. Only thing is I had to wait for my treatment . You could get bored if you don't have a magazine luckily I bought one. Hot tub was nice though.

I had the 90 minute muscle melt massage, and it was wonderful. The surroundings were beautiful and the therapist was very good - definitely one of the better massages I've had.

Finished off with Moroccan tea in the relaxation area, which was so cosy and comfortable I nearly fell asleep :)

I came to St Nicholas at the beginning of July, i had heard alot about this place and wasn't disappointed! I had the spa journey package and had a gift voucher to put towards some treatments I treated myself to the 60 minute muscle melt and 23 carat gold facial! Wow these were amazing completely relaxed and felt great afterwards. The thermal suite was brilliant loved the jacuzzi and sauna. The relaxation room was lovely and comfortable, I ordered my lunch which came down quickly. I had the Summer salad board with a naughty side of sweet potato fries and a glass of prosecco. it was lovely that I didn't have to walk into the cafe where other public were and still enjoy my experience. My day at St Nicholas was lovely and I can't wait to come again.
