I have been twice before to the Dunkenhaigh Spa, the first time with a group of friends, the second with my husband. My husband booked this time for my daughter and myself for a birthday treat, with it being my 50th and her 21st.
I found the girl on reception on our first visit to be a bit ditsy, if I'm being honest. We took our robes from the room, however, I was told by another guest that we should have been offered robes and slippers on arrival in the spa, because this was included in our package. I had to ask for towels and wasn't offered robes!!
On our next day visit for our treatments, we sat in our clothing, whilst other guests sat in robes and slippers. we were not using the pool but having our treatments. Although, the spa is in a great need of a revamp and the place is looking a bit worn, the girls who did the treatments and the staff in the spa were very courteous and pleasant.
I enjoyed my stay but was a little disappointed the facilities in the spa as the whirlpool was not working ,we had already had to change dates because of work being done so expected everything to be ready or at least be notified that it wasn't working
Your staff are a credit to your company . Extremely friendly and helpful. The evening meal was fantastic really good value for money.
Only criticism was I thought the rooms were a little dated but still lovely and clean. Also I was a little disappointed the pool was out of order the day we went but was well informed beforehand off the closure . Which couldn’t be help.
My back and shoulder massage was fantastic. My wife said her facial and eye treatment was excellent too. Pool was closed for refurbishment during our stay, which was disappointing. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The evening meal was also excellent. The bed was a little uncomfortable though. Overall though, a very enjoyable stay.
Absolutely fantastic . Beautiful accommodation ,gorgeous food 🥘 Spa was good separate jacuzzi would be better but it’s only a minor fault. Staff were wonderful.Spa treatments were well worth the money x
