We had an issue with the hotel when trying to book the treatments after we booked a couples spa day experience. We were told by the hotel that no slots were available despite the fact we purchased a package including this. Treatwell reacted briliantly and Martyn sorted the issue out with the hotel and communicated regularly throughout. During the day we found a copy of the schedule left on the side and there was only 1 other booking aside from us, so it seems that we had been mislead. On the day we had to chase up the prosecco we were offered and also lunch (which we found we had to order 45 mins in advance). However aside from this i have to say the massage was excellent, the faciliities are very good and the hotel and ground are stunning. My advice - this spa is worth a visit but book through Treatwell as the venue clearly has some training/ customer handling issues.
My Mum and I try to go for regular spa days for a catch up and relaxation. We chose Walton Hall based on the beautiful setting and location close to where we live. When we arrived it was clear that we were the only ones booked in for the day which says something! The swimming pool wasn't really deep enough to swim properly in and needs updating, there was a sauna and steam room but no other facilities which you might consider 'spa worthy'. Lunch was reasonable but served in a box, which was quite challenging to eat out of, and lacked substance. I had chicken with cous cous which needed a sauce and some salad whilst my Mum had fish which she enjoyed. The treatments were nice but the room was tired and at times very noisy which limited the relaxation factor! The relaxation room provided a nice area to relax in but the instant coffee and milk left out all day didn't provide the luxurious feel I was expecting. For the price we paid I didn't find this value for money.
What a fabulous and relaxing spa. Wanted the treatment to never end. The hot stone loosened up some tight muscles so I was floating and used the pool and sauna afterwards. A wonderful spot!
The Hotel is located in a gorgeous environment. We had a relaxing time in the Spa and Hotel. All staff very attentive. The Spa waiting room is very inviting and relaxing in trendy look.
Due to traffic our party of four was late so unfortunately two members of our group had to sacrifice their massages. This was due to our fault though and staff were great as they did try to squeeze appointments around, however it was a busy Saturday.
