Nice place, will defo go back enjoyed the golf courses, really good, my wife enjoyed the jogging tracks, and the lunch was spot on. As was the spa, and the grounds are really nice. Only live fifteen mins away so come next year might make more times, as it was only £45 for the day, last minute vouchers.com.

Ashdown is a fantastic place to go and relax for a couple of days. We wanted something special for after our wedding and we decided on the ultimate spa indulgence package.
The hotel staff did inform us the jacuzzi was out of order during our stay, which they were very apologetic about, the full body massage was incredible and the spa staff where lovely people. It was just a shame that the spa wasn't very couple orientated. There are no rooms suitable for couples to have a massage together and there are separate steam rooms and saunas in the male and female changing rooms. We didn't end up using the spa facilities as long as we would have liked, as the only time we could have together was in the swimming pool.
Overall, we would love to stay at Ashdown again. The grounds are beautiful, the food was exquisite and possibly the best cup of tea i've ever had!

Beautiful hotel in the picturesque setting of Ashdown Forest. Lovely spa but in need of a little updating. Back and neck massage fantastic (thanks Jillian). Evening meal lovely but breakfast a bit of a disappointment. Staff vert helpful.

Venue, looks amazing. I was in complete awe of hotel and walking through the building made me feel like I was in Hogwarts. The staff were incredibly polite and accommodating. I missed my treatment and they rescheduled it for me, which I was very pleased with. The head, back and shoulder massage was amazing.
The three course dinner was delicious. Me and my partner had an amazing stay with at Ashdown.

I even left my sun glasses in our room which they are posting back to me.

Disliked single beds put together to make a double! Spa too busy and unable to use all facilities. Lovely hotel and stay otherwise!

I booked my husband in for a Vitaman relaxation massage - it's the only one he ever asks for and this must have been at least his fourth one here at the Ashdown Park Country Club. He works at a very stressful job and gets so much tension in his shoulders that it needs a trained professional to tease out the knots from his muscles. I can't tell you what goes on in that hour while I relax in the comfortable lounge with the papers, but he always comes back looking and feeling very relaxed and smelling fantastic. I'd thoroughly recommend booking this massage for a deserving man (and my husband wholeheartedly agrees); it's worth every penny.

Bought the overnight spa break with dinner, breakfast and a mini treatment each for my partner's 40th. It was an incredibly relaxing experience. We were both really happy with the mini-treatments. I cycle long distances, and the masseur was able to provide a really effective back shoulder and head massage in the relatively short time of 20 minutes. My partner really enjoyed her facial treatment. The spa was pleasant and we spent most of our time by or in the large indoor pool or in the jacuzzi. The spa facilities were really nice with towels, robes and flip-flops provided. The hotel itself is a beautiful old former stately home set on a hillside in the Ashdown Forest. The room was very comfortable and the food at dinner was really good which amuse bouche between some courses. Steak was locally sourced and a large list of great English wines (much of it also local) was on offer. The ambience was lovely at dinner with a grand piano accompaniment which made it all feel like an even more special occasion. Whilst not cheap, I would say the overnight break was good value for money.

Lovely hotel with very helpful staff. Room was spacious and clean and well equipped with tea + coffee facilities as well as nice bath and shower 'smellies'. The spa (or country club as they call it) is located about 200m walk outside the reception but as the weather was nice for us, this didn't matter too much. The only downfall was a lack of robes when we arrived in the spa as they hadn't come back from laundry and also a lack of space for loungers in the pool area. A number of people seemed to have left towels on the few loungers that are available whilst they had gone for treatments meaning they had reserved them for their return and they were not able to be used by those people actually in the pool area! All in all a small but lovely spa. A tip would be to take £1 for the lockers - we didn't have one and so had to risk our things in an unlocked locker! A very nice stay in a picturesque location.

Beautiful place, great for a getaway from the city. The hotel is impressive historical mansion. The aromatherapy massage was great, haven't tried all the spa facilities, but they look good, not huge spa. Staff very friendly and helpful. The room was great (we were upgraded for free to junior suite), spacious and clean, with a cute little terrace. Only point to note for colder seasons - the main hotel reception and restaurant are in a different building from some rooms (which was our case).
