Holistic therapies are all about treating the whole person - mind, body, spirit and emotional well-being - to gain balance and achieve optimal health. Holistic therapists understand that if one part of the body is not working properly, then other parts of the body will be affected by this disharmony, since all parts of the person are intricately connected. So holistic therapies work to balance and relax the whole person, and in doing so, aim to stimulate the body's natural healing powers.
My interest in reflexology was sparked whilst working as a midwife, after hearing positive comments from clients who had reflexology treatments to help with typical discomforts of pregnancy, such as back pain, indigestion or insomnia. Some clients used reflexology to encourage labour to start once they reached their due date, and others just to experience the pleasure of a lovely relaxing treatment during what can be an uncomfortable time in a woman's life. All were enthusiastic about the effects of reflexology.
Reflexology is one of many holistic therapies that aim to restore balance and health to the mind, body and spirit. Alongside reflexology, I offer 'aroma reflexology', which is a lovely treatment combining reflexology and aromatherapy. Natural lift facial massage uses a combination of facial acupressure, Indian facial massage and Japanese facial massage to help to remove muscular tensions, remove toxins from the skin to improve both the skin's appearance and prevent sagging and wrinkles. As a holistic therapist, I recognise the value of helping clients to take care of their health. Treatment sessions are a time for relaxing, for reflecting and for enjoying some valuable time dedicated to your own well-being. Treatments are carried out in the comfort and privacy of your own home, unless otherwise arranged prior to booking.
