Worst service ever, this salon doesn't understand the basic principle of client service!
I walked in to Sean Hanna in Canary Wharf at around 5:05pm (the salon closes at 6pm on Sundays) and i asked to get my hair blow dried only as i had just washed it at the gym 30' ago so should be fairly doable in 55' / especially given they had no customers and three stylists waiting.
The stylist starts on my hair he dissects it as if it was an animal and asks me if i have dandruff, which i say that's not the case. He goes to the receptionist who comes and says we are concerned you might have hair lice? Another stylist who seemed more experienced comes and checks my hair and is like she just has dry scalp you can work on her hair.
I was already getting frustrated to be treated like a zoo animal with three people bending over my head but fine.
I asked to get a straight blow dry, no volume and a tiny bit of movement at the ends. Then the stylist starts on my hair, he wasn't handling it very professionally the brush he was using was hitting my face with no apology, he was quite slow as well. I ask him "can you hurry up?" he doesn't understand, can "you speed up?" doesn't get it either. The experienced stylists comes again and translates "she wants you to go faster".
Towards the end of the process i see the hair has still a lot of volume, and i say look i specified i didn't want volume as i have very voluminous hair. He tries again...after 45' of sitting there, i was like i want this to be over, it's not being done professionally.
Here instead of having another stylist come and help the struggling stylist, the receptionist jumps at me and says "You are being very rude! We are doing you a favour by taking you before closing and not washing you hair. You have upset one of my best stylists!". In shock, i tell her "I wasnt being rude, am giving feedback, you are in a client service industry, you need to listen to feedback and then you decide if you take it on board or not, and I don't appreciate being called rude while i wasn't. This is not the way you treat a customer!". Worse, the stylist who was working on my hair starts making fun of me, "oh poor you the brush hit your face"". I ended up walking out and not paying and am never going to step there again.
It's not about the hair / level of qualification,it's about the way I was treated, I was called rude, mocked and told they "were doing me a favour".
Never seen something like this...

Very disappointed indeed - not to say furious and upset. I did not even get as far as the salon appointment in Canary Wharf for a full head of highlights - which had been booked because I had an extra special occasion the following weekend. The salon had made no record of my mandatory skin test (done the previous week when I went in for a consultation) and so cancelled my appointment on the day it was due to take place. Utterly inept. I won't be going back.

I booked my appointment with Paula and I was not disappointed. She understood the exactly what I wanted and I'm very happy with the result! I will definitely return to this great salon- I felt relaxed as soon as I stepped through the door, with Punam being very friendly on reception. Thank you!

I've been there a few times only because the location is convenient but won't be returning back. Each time the haircut was ok but don't think it justifies the £70 for a creative stylist. Also, the blowdry finish was just awful, so much that I wanted to get the hair drier and do it myself. Everytime I went straight home and washed my haired and styled it myself.
The other I'd like to comment on is the 20% offer they have during the Fashion Weedkends. The first time I tried to use the offer I was told I couldn't because I hadn't booked in advance. The next time I booked in advance and was given the discount but I had to ask for it. The next time I also booked in advance but was told at the till after my haircut that I couldn't use the offer because I shouldn't have booked in advance and it was only for appointments made on the same day!

Very disappointing. I booked a cut and colour and seems the receptionist didn't allocate enough time for the job. As a result, the whole thing was pretty rushed and not a great experience. Feel bad for the hairdresser as she did her best, stayed professional and had to stay past closing time to finish, but the upshot is that I went in there to tidy up a bob that I'd been trying to grow out and have ended up with exactly the same style cut back in. Colour was also nothing special. Gutted isn't the word, especially for a grand total of £200!

On a side note, the receptionist on duty that day was an exceptionally poor example - no eye contact, ignored request for magazine, drink never materialised etc

What a difference a colour makes, Charlotte is a colour genius. As long as my boyfriend believes I did it from a packet and didn’t pay for a colour specialist, I'll be back for a top up!

Been having a nightmare with my colour over past few months so was recommended to charlotte. I had to wait about 15 mins so I was a little grumpy to start with but she seemed to know more about colour than anyone i have been to for a long time. A lot of hairdressrs do great BS but she was very knowledgeable. She got rid of some of the colour i didn't like and did a new technique that she said was exclusive to their salon. The result was best i've had for a very long time. She was supposed to do the cut too but as colour took longer than expected i ended up with john. I didn't have a new style but he did it really well and since i've washed it myself, it still falls right. Overall i loved the salon. Not cheap but will definitely go back. I also sent in my hubby. He had to wait about 10 mins too but really liked it and says he will go back. So sort out the waiting guys and your on a winner!

Great place, they actually listen to what you want! Friendly atmosphere, drinks offered as well as a nice head massage when they wash your hair.

I absolutely love the stylists at this place, they are priced like any other Salon in Canary wharf but I have never been dispappointed.
I go there almost every week for a blow dry, and am compelled to write this review as I think this place truly deserves a great rating.

Given the salon location, & its reputation, I had high expectations but I was very disappointed. I didn't get the colour I wanted, and the haircut was very boring I kept asking to get layers but the hairdresser didnt want to do anything too complicated. I then had to pay an extra £20 on top of my quote because I got a more senior stylist. I complained but got nothing out of it!

dont recommend it......
